DMNOLOGY or “DMN” the graffiti sorcerer, hails from the city of Chicago. He embarked on his artistic journey at an early age in the inner city neighborhoods, spray painting his nom de plume “Demon” on the walls and elevated trains of Chicago. He is also a rap MC who has released several albums throughout his career & was a founding member of the legendary Chicago rap group “Knomadz.”
His artwork has been displayed in group and solo shows at galleries around the country. Through his graffiti art he has painted murals in Germany, Ireland, France, Serbia, Spain, England, & Malta, not to mention cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, & Saint Louis. He has also worked on community based youth mural workshops with local Chicago organizations as well as programs with several American Embassies overseas.
His graffiti wild style has been compared to that of origami or folding paper. Although, he prefers to call it the “Wild Onion” style in reference to the indigenous name of Chicago. His style ranges from abstract to illustrative.
