Leida “Lady Sol” Garcia is a street dance professional from Chicago who is recognized globally
as a Creative Director, Dance Manager, Producer and Educator. She has worked with MTV,
BET, NBC, and TBS, alongside super-stars Busta Rhymes, Cedric the Entertainer, & Ellen
Degeneres. She currently directs and manages Chicago’s world reknown FootworKINGz who
have performed on global stages and music videos with Madonna, Will.I.Am, Willow Smith,
Chicago Sinfonietta, IBM, Nike and Red Bull. She currently develops Chicago Footwork,
Popping, and Dancehall workshops at The Lab, Chicago’s new street dance studio. Lady Sol’s
newest project, “Reggae Soul Movement” aims to present, preserve and teach dance fusions of
Ragga/Dancehall (Jamaican street dance), Hip Hop and Afro-Latin centered movement. Lady Sol
is also co-founding member and volunteer of Kuumba Lynx, a nationally recognized non-profit
arts organization that empowers young people through the cultivation of Hip-Hop arts and
education.
