Bgirl Darth Mayder 4-24-18

Mayder Lor is the Director for the MSCR–East High School and is also an entrepreneur who’s passionately-engaged in her community. Her most notable roles are as a Youth Worker, Personal Weight Loss Coach, Hip Hop Organizer/Event Specialist Coordinator, Hip Hop Judge, DJ, Emcee/Hostess, Breakin/Hip Hop Instructor, Sports/Volleyball Coach, Guest Speaker, Mentor and Promoter to many well-known artists and organizations, Artist Schedule Coordinator and Hostess for Power Style Radio, Manager and Hostess for Hmoodle, Hostess for Yellow Diamond Records and Hip Hop Movement Manager.

Being so multi-talented and versatile, she is known by multiple names. Her students and mentees have affectionately-named her “Mama Mayder.” This simple term of endearment shows how close her bond is with those who look up to her most. In the Hip Hop world, she’s known as “Bgirl Darth Mayder” and also “DJ Mayder.” 

Mayder loves to travel. She has traveled throughout the United States, building relationships with different communities from the Midwest to the West Coast. She has even traveled overseas to Thailand and Laos, teaching Hip Hop/Breakin to under–served children in rural orphanages. Through all her travels and accomplishments, she’s proven that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
