Bgirl Candy/Child of this Culture Interview 3-1-16

Bgirl Candy wants to live in a world where there is peace, love and unity.

As an artist and Hip Hop community leader, she has been spotlighted on Who Can Roast Most exhibition series as first Bgirl (female breakdancer) 5 round exhibition in 2002, The Bboy Spot blog, RedBull Blog and Laura Leandra Production “Artist of the Week”. Her dance theater work “Bgirl Ballet” was featured in Martha Cooper’s “We BGirlz” book tour and “All The Ladies Say” Documentary. She has received awards at PRO AM Games International Conference, Rock the Floor National Championship, Bgirl City, and SouthEast Championship for her contribution and preservation of the Hip Hop culture and has received the Awesome Foundation Grant, 2 times. She is the president of the United Breakin Association, a trade association that helps educate and protect competitive breakers and co-founder of Child of this Culture Foundation, nonprofit Arts organization based in Florida. She represents her all female crew Floor Angelz established in 1998.

When she’s not traveling and teaching about the hip hop culture, you can find her healing professional athletes, and watching “Doctor Who” with her amazing 11 year old daughter.
